Professional Learning

Supporting those who support young people…

One small step at a time.

Professional Learning & Support

I provide professional learning and consultation for educators and sporting organisations, supporting those who work with young people to better understand ADHD and create environments where individuals can thrive.

My approach is strengths-based, practical, and grounded in real-world experience across education, coaching, and sport.

Support for Educators

I work with teachers and schools to build understanding of ADHD and provide practical strategies that can be used in the classroom straight away.

Support may include:

  • Teacher consultation sessions (1:1 support)

  • Professional development workshops (whole school or faculty)

  • Strategies for engagement, focus, and executive function

  • Creating inclusive and supportive learning environments

Support for Sporting Organisations

With experience as both an educator and a representative athlete, I understand the unique environments within sport.

I support coaches, trainers, and support staff to better understand ADHD and work effectively with neurodivergent athletes.

Support may include:

  • Presentations for clubs and development programs

  • Practical strategies for engagement, motivation and communication

  • Supporting executive functions, such emotional regulation in high-pressure environments

Experience

I have delivered professional learning and presentations for:

  • The Learning Network K–10 PDHPE Forum

  • The Newcastle Knights Rugby League Club, presenting to coaches, trainers, physiotherapists, and team managers

#168 ADHD, Differentiation and Real Classroom Strategies in K-6 PDHPE and 7-10 PDHPE

(Also available on: Spotify and Apple Podcasts)

I recently attended a course run by Small Steps, Bright Futures and it was incredibly valuable for my role as an SLSO.

The course balanced theory with practical strategies, making it easy to apply in my day-to-day work. The instructor, was extremely knowledgeable and focused on real-world applications, which gave me the confidence to better support students struggling with ADHD.
If you work with ADHD students, this course is a must!
